What's New?

Dear Ones,

It has been three months since my last blog and newsletter. During that time I have been continuing to learn about patience, and exploring healing ways. One of these has been allowing myself time to just be and think. My husband and I even took a vacation to Alaska, and that is the theme for this blog and the one that will follow within a month.

Time for re-creation is so necessary to creativity, but difficult for a “type A personality” Red Hawk person like me to justify. I have also been coming to terms with the limitations that accompany entering the Grandmother/Grandfather Lodge. Sorry to report this but I just don’t have the same level of energy as I did when I was 30 or even 60. When I find the right words to do so, I will share the lessons I have managed to learn with you.

I know some of you have been keeping in touch through our new group Facebook page “Friends of the Medicine Wheel Teachings of Sun Bear and Marlise Wabun Wind”. I really appreciate Star Savoy who keeps the page going and is the administrator for it. And I appreciate all of you who have used that forum to share some of your own stories about how these teachings have affected your life. I am also happy that some friends who are travelling and teaching are using it to let people know about their work. Please join and participate in this group, and invite your friends to do so also!

I continue looking for the right agent/publisher for The Spirit Keeper’s Saga: The Center and for The Medicine Wheel Guide. Publishing provides many lessons about patience. The second edition of The Medicine Wheel published in Spain looks wonderful. Thanks to Mudra and Lola and all their associates for their work on this book. I am looking for a distributor for the Spanish edition for the United States so let me know if you have contact with one. I have just signed a contract with Editions Tredaniel to publish Dancing with the Wheel in French in February of 2017. And I have begun work on two new books: Ancient Visions, Modern Wisdom, based upon my teachings about history and mythology as they relate to the continuing worldwide battle between the matriarchal and patriarchal philosophies, and Still Thinking About Love, the sequel to Woman of the Dawn.

I want to thank all of you who take the time to follow and LIKE me on Facebook (Marlise Wabun Wind and “Friends of the Medicine Wheel Teachings of Sun Bear and Marlise Wabun Wind”). I usually post different material on each of these pages so check out both. Thanks also for looking at my website, reading my blogs and encouraging your friends to subscribe to this newsletter. Please continue to spread the word, and remember to tell people they have to click on “confirm” in the email they get right after subscribing. Feel free to share the blogs or refer other people to them, but credit them to me.

I hope the rapid growth of summer has brought you some wonderful gifts and ideas, as well as time for re-creation.
