What's New?

Emma, Gift of the Crows

Dear Ones,

It has been almost four months since my last blog and newsletter. In that newsletter I wrote, “Life always brings us problems and annoyances – some little, some large. In my experience the best we can do is deal with them with as little drama and as much common sense as possible,” and “I need to attempt to go more with the flow of life, and try to control my 'Type A personality’ traits.” Over these last months I have had more than ample practice in dealing with annoyances and going with the flow. I may go into more detail about some problems in a future correspondence. Suffice it to say that I have had plenty of experience in dealing with physical limitations, and with the emotions this engenders.

To re-establish our contact I have begun with a sweet experience I have enjoyed in these months. I briefly wrote about the kitty who came to us in my last newsletter. In my current blog (http://www.marlisewabunwind.com/blog.htm) I write about her in more detail. She is the first animal who adopted us, rather than our adopting her. She is a gift we cherish.

I am trying to put more posts on my author Facebook page about the work of old friends I admire. They are all people I consider part of my circle and eventually I will fill out that page on my website. Since it is a new year I also would like to put some new information up on my home page. It is on my list of things to do when the time feels right. There are quite a few interesting things I hope to share with you in the future, some light-hearted and some serious. I have things to write about sleep apnea, knee surgery, “the family concierge”, Jennie Stephens and my young adult novel, Jennifer Patten and my “Introductory Guide to the Medicine Wheel”, the original “Ancient Visions; Modern Wisdom” lectures and workshops, and about the amazing adventures I have been privileged to have in my life.

One of the other lessons I have had to learn (again) is patience so in honor of that and “going with the flow” I will not promise when any of these will appear in my blog. However, the urge to write is building in me again so I’ll see how it goes.

As always I want to thank all of you who take the time to look at my website, read my blogs and encourage your friends to subscribe to this newsletter. Please continue to spread the word, and remember to tell people they have to click on “confirm” in the email they get right after subscribing. I encourage you to share the blogs or refer other people to them but please credit them to me.

I would appreciate it if you would take a minute to LIKE my author page on Facebook, Marlise Wabun Wind, and ask your friends to LIKE it as well. If each of you sent out that little “please like this page” request to ten of your friends, and some of them responded, it would be a great help when potential editors check out my “social media presence”.

I wish you all the possibility of enjoying a more flowing, relaxing, patient life. Know I’m trying to do the same. I still find it ironic that enjoyment, relaxation and living life as it comes is so easy to say and so difficult to do.

Warmly,
Marlise Wabun Wind
